5 People Arrested After PA House Surrounded Following Shooting: Police

A "shots fired" incident turned standoff, has led to five arrests in Columbia Borough, police announced on Friday evening, Nov. 1.

The Columbia Borough Police received several calls about shots fired in the 400 block of Avenue K at 1:30 p.m., as detailed in the release. 

Officers arrived to find "several shell casings in the roadway as well as a house that was struck by gunfire," as stated in the release. "The house was occupied, but nobody was injured."

The suspects ran into a home in the 200 block of South 4th Street, witnesses, told police.

Soon, police officers from multiple agencies were called and the home was surrounded.

"An officer made announcements over a loudspeaker, and five (5) people were eventually taken into custody," as stated in the release.

"There should be no danger to the public at this time," the police concluded.

The investigation is ongoing.
